You will visit the Roman Theatre of Malaga is one of the symbols of Roman Hispania in the city. Built in the time of Augustus, in the 1st century AD, it remained in use until the 3rd century. The excavations revealed the proescenium, i.e. the stage, the remains of the Orchestra, the place reserved for the senators and the cavea, the stands measuring 31 metres in radius by 16 metres in height with thirteen tiers and the entrances to the stands, the so-called vomitorium.
You will also visit the Alcazaba of Malaga, a fortress of great historical importance. This Muslim citadel is strategically located at the foot of Mount Gibralfaro, adjacent to the Moorish defensive castle, connected by the sheltered corridor of walls known as La Coracha. The Alcazaba was built between 1057 and 1063. This Muslim military emblem, preserved as one of the most significant works in Spain, it integrates defensive elements such as machicolations, watchtowers with arrow slits and crenellated walls, taking advantage of its strategic location to visually dominate the city and the bay from its balconies.
Institutional dinner at Malaga Automobile and Fashion Museum.
25th September.
The CCF24 institutional dinner will be held in an extraordinary setting, the Malaga Automobile and Fashion Museum. The building that houses the Automobile and Fashion Museum belongs to the city’s former tobacco factory, whose construction began in 1923. This milestone was a boost to the growth of the city, which at that time played an important industrial role in Spain. Gradually, Malaga began to opt for the exploitation of tourism, giving rise to the city we know today, where the commitment to culture is undeniable. The Magalhaes family is the driving force behind this current cultural project. Their private collection of classic vehicles and fashion from different periods led them to look for a location among the most important cities in Spain, among them Malaga. The match was immediate, and the inauguration of this space as the Automobile and Fashion Museum took place on 16 September 2010.
